Planning and Coordination
- Oversee the Planning, Coordination and Research Department activities.
- Enhance the department in coordination and Research initiatives.
- Prepare and submit to the DG and Minister the annual work plan and long term plan related to Somaliland water sector
- Coordinator all WASH sector actors at local, national and international levels.
- Prepare and organize the Somaliland WASH coordination meetings
- Initiate and outline research programs and projects related to ground and surface water related issues including meteorology
- Prepare, update, LoA for UN/INGOs and submit to the DG and the Minister.
- Register and evaluate all WASH stakeholders, professionals and Firms.
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Evaluation report.
- Support and, supervise and assign the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the Department’s staff
- Propose the recruitment of Departmental personnel and conduct annual performance evaluations and forward to DG.
- Prepare the Planning, Coordination and Research Department annual Budget.
- Manage and monitor the Department’s annual operating and developmental budget to avoid budget overruns.
- Prepare and plan for drought emergency interventions and early warning.
- Ensure accountability, transparency and integrity.
- Motivate staff and lead by example.
- Prepare the structure of the department including the sections and units with their TOR.
